Elena Mannwieler, Executive Director/Owner
Ms. Elena brings Storyland a background in business and marketing along with a BA of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a BA of Science in Biochemistry. Elena retired her career in business and marketing in order to spend more time with her two young children and to become a teacher. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor hiking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica Torres, Director
Ms. Jessica is one of our school directors. Prior to management she was the head teacher in The Bay Room class for 5 years. She is a fully qualified educator with over 15 years of experience working with children. Ms. Jessica enjoys attending sporting events, exercising and spending quality time with her 2 daughters.
Cassie Robles, Assistant Director
Ms. Cassie is the Assistant Director. Previously she was head teacher in our Pre-K class and our toddler class. She began working at Storyland as a Regional Occupation Program student in 2008 and is now a fully qualified preschool teacher. She currently attends Las Positas College to continue her Early Childhood Education. Personally, Ms. Cassie enjoys playing softball and spending time with her family.
Sara Hutchinson, Bay Room Teacher (Kindergarten Readiness)
Ms. Sara is the head teacher in our Bay Room class. She began working at Storyland School as a Regional Occupation Program student in 1997. Upon completion of her program she stayed on to work as a teacher’s aide until she received her teacher qualifications in Early Childhood Education. Since then she has taught in our Toddler, Early Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Ms. Sara is married and has two young children. Personally, she enjoys being outdoors, camping, and reading.
Sara May, The Little Stars Teacher
Ms. Sara has a bachelor's degree in Child Development as well as her teaching credentials from San Jose State University. She has 12 years of experience which includes 4 years at Storyland School, student teacher at Santa Clara Unified School District as well as being an early childhood educator for special needs children. Sara's interests include dance, camping, and horseback riding. She is married and has three young children. Sara is a Storyland School alumni as she attended Storyland when she was a preschooler.
Selena Johnson, Little Monkey's Teacher
Sammie Robles, The Little Owls Teacher
Ms. Sammie began working at Storyland in 2008 as a Regional Occupation Program student and is now head teacher in the Little Owls classroom. Upon completion of her program Sammie was our on-call teacher's aid until recieving her teacher qualifications in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Sammie is married and has 2 young children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Leilani Iglehart, Little Owls Teacher
Ms. Leilani is the assistant teacher in the Little Owls class. She first came to Storyland as an ROP student in 2014. Leilani is currently attending Las Positas and working toward a nursing degree. Previously, she worked in the nursery at her church. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Elise Cain, Sunshine Room Teacher (Kindergarten Readiness)
Ms. Elise is the head teacher in the Sunshine Room. She has her Associate degree in both Liberal Arts and Early Childhood Education. She comes to Storyland with an ample amount of experience working with children including teaching, co-directing and running a licensed in home day care. In her spare time, Ms. Elise enjoys camping and spending time on her boat with her husband and 3 daughters.
Caitlin Roach, Bay Room Teacher (Kindergarten Readiness)
Ms. Caitlin is the assistant teacher in the Bay Room. She has 4 years of experience working with children and is currently attending Las Positas to continue with her Early Childhood Education. Ms. Caitlin enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Margaret Catipon, Substitute Teacher
Ms. Margaret is our on-call teacher. She began working at Storyland in 2012 as a Regional Occupation Program student and is now a fully qualified preschool teacher. Margaret is currently attending Cal State East Bay to obtain a bachelor's degree in Human Development. Personally, Margaret enjoys reading, writing poetry and spending time with family and friends.
Ashleigh Kaufman, Substitute Teacher
Ms. Ashleigh is one of our on-call teachers. She has 4 years of experience working with children. Ashleigh is currently attending Ashworth College and working toward a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. In her spare time, Ms. Ashleigh enjoys going on vacations and spending time with family and friends
